A not-to-be-missed event of the year!Montage 2008 seminar provides an excellent opportunity for the young photographers to have a greater insight into the professionalism and aesthetics of photography through its seminar. This seminar will be featuring 3 guest speakers namely, Mr. Chua Chye Teck, Mr. Skye Tan and Mr. Kelvin Koh to share their works and professional experience in Fine Art Photography, Fashion Photography and Wedding Journalism respectively.In addition, Montage 2008 will provide a short session of workshop for young photographers to have hands-on experience in taking portraiture during the model shoot which is specially arranged after the seminar.Details of the seminar are as follow. Fine Art Photography: CHUA CHYE TECK

Chua Chye Teck is a visual artist who chooses photography as his preferred medium of expression. His recent achievements include a commissioned project by the International Photographers and Researchers Network (IPRN) to undergo a 3-month residency in the United Kingdom between 2006 and 2007. In 2005, he was selected to document the works of the Singapore Pavilion at the Aichi Expo in Nagoya, Japan. During the same year, he was also awarded a Certificate of Distinction in Photography for the 24th installment of the UOB Painting of the Year Competition. Chye Teck represented Singapore for “Asian Comments”, a 24-hour photography event held in the city centre of Copenhagen organized by the Asia-Europe Foundation in 2002. Fashion Photography: SKYE TAN

Being referred as the "new wave" of fashion photographers by people in the industry these days, Skye's work have surfaced not only in many fashion magazines and campaigns in Singapore, but other Asian regions such as China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia as well. His works have been featured in magazines such as Harpers Bazaar, L'Officiel, Style, Arena, August, Men's folio, Icon, Female, and Citta Bella.Being in the industry for merely 3 years, Skye have also worked with several International and local celebrities. some of the international star he have shot includes S.H.E (taiwanese trio band), Charlie Yeung (hong kong actress), Carl Ng (hongkong actor), and Roy chiu (Taiwan singer)Skye's aesthetic visions have stucked accord with many people working in the field of fashion internationally, his works have been presented in models portfolio worldwide and in agencies such as Elite, FORD, and IMG etc...During his trip to Berlin last summer, Skye "discovered" Julian Hennig. Wedding Photojournalism: KELVIN KOH

Kelvin is a portrait and wedding photojournalist who founded Lightedpixels Photography. He loves photographing people and traveling and has done numerous bridal and wedding shoots overseas (the best of both!). His images are emotive, elegant and quirky, very often capturing defining moments that are simple yet powerful and moving. He has also won numerous awards at the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) and the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AGWPJA). He was the highest ranked Singaporean photographer in the WPJA in 2007. Lightedpixels has also been named as “Best in Singapore for Wedding Photography” by the Singapore Tatler for 2007 and 2008.His works have also consistently appeared in Style Weddings, Her World Brides, Female Brides, The Straits Times, The New Paper and other International publications.
